GUIDED TOUR by Monk KAKUONJI Temple
KAKUON-JI is located at very silent area. Another 10 min. walk from KAMAKURA-GU. (DAITO NO MIYA)
KAKUON-JI is famous with it Plum tree (flower is very beautiful during early spring.) and it's old Buddha statue. Bud do you know, that there is a guided tour service by Monk?
Every hour on the hour from 10 am to 15 pm. (except 12:00. Rainy day not available.), just gather in front of the main hall (not the gate.). You need to pay 500 JPY as a entry fee, then monk will guide you to the back yard.
They have a beautiful garden, and master statue, old MINKA (house from Edo-era) and etc. The master statue is very old from KAMAKURA era and you will see signature of one of very famous SAMURAI on the roof.
