Neapolitan Pizza at Pizzeria GG, Kamakura
Pizzeria GG is a Neapolitan-style pizzeria in Yuigahama, near the Geba intersection and about an eight-minute walk from Kamakura Station. Its pizzas are baked in a wood-fired oven built by craftspeople brought over from Naples—a little taste of Italy during a day exploring Kamakura. When I visited in 2017, the weekday lunch included a pizza, a drink and a dolce. It was an inviting option for a lunch break between walks around town. Planning a visit? Address: Forum Building

Trail Hiking to KINUBARI YAMA
KINUBARI YAMA is the one of highest point in KAMAKURA, which is 120.2 meters from the sea level. Photo: View from KINUBARI YAMA. If you are lucky, you can see Mt. Fuji as well. There are several entry points for this path, however This time I choose Nagoe Kiritoshi as a entry point. NAGOE KIRITOSHI It is an ancient trail path biuild by KAMAKURA government. The path is designed to manage and control the traffic (entry and exit of the person). Thus it can be considered as a

Enjoy Green Tea by ZEN Garden @ JOMYOJI temple
MATCHA (Dense, strong green tea) and WAGASHI(Japanese sweet) is famous. But if you enjoy in front of the authentic Japanese garden, you feel 10 times more relaxed and feel like you are in ancient "Japan". KISEN AN at JOMYOJI is the perfect place. On of the recommendation is JYOMYOJI. It is just 5 min walk from HOKOKUJI (famous with bamboo garden.) Even though HOKOKUJI has tea house where you can enjoy Matcha, my recommendation is JYOMYOJI because the garden is more open a

Fine Italian Lunch at KITA KAMAKURA
TAKERU QUINDICI is the casual Italian resutaulant near by KITA KAMAKURA station. It is facing main street and next to TOKEIJI temple. I think you can easily find the black traditional Japanese Minka style house. The resultant is well renovated to be suitable for restaurant but yet do not harm Japanese old Minka. Thus, this restaurant offers very unique experience such as you visit very traditional Japanese style house and enjoy fine Italian food. I had visited lunch time

GOSHU IN (御朱印)
GOSHU IN is so to say a proof of pray (in a decent manner) at each shrine and temple. To be strict, it looks like a stamp book, however...

ZAIMOKU ZA Beach and WAKA ENOJIMA
ZAIMOKUZA BEACH is the left hand side (east side) of Kamakura beach. As you see it in the picture, this area is popular among local surfers. Another historical icon in ZAIMOKUZA is WAKA ENOJIMA. WAKA ENOJIMA is an old port build in Kamakura Era. (1232 DC) It is said that this port is big enough to import many items from other city. What you can see now is the tiny rocky islands, only. However, if you look carefully at your feet, you might be able to find a fragments of ol

AJISAI IN AUTUMN
Ajisai (hydrangea) supposed to be a icon of rain season, JUNE. Normally Famous spots for Ajisai in Kamakura are AJISAI DERA (Meigetsu In) or Hase Dera. However, June is not only the season. Now in the September is another season, which I found in ZUISENJI temple. Technically speaking, AJISAI in June and Ajisai in Autumn is a different species. What blow in Autumn is "TAMA-AJISAI". "TAMA" stands for a ball. See the how it looks, the bud shape like a ball. You can also see
